Dell released this model in 2022 as the successor to the Precision 5560. It belongs to the 5000 series, the thin and light branch of the Precision family.

Dell Precision 5570 specifications

At its heart is the Intel Core i7-12700H, an Alder Lake processor with P-cores for heavy computing and E-cores for background tasks. Dell pairs it with an NVIDIA RTX A1000 or RTX A2000, a professional GPU with drivers tuned for design and engineering software.

In our range the 5570 usually has 32 GB of memory, sometimes 16GB or 64 GB. For storage you choose a 512GB SSD or 1 TB, and for wireless you are well covered with Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax).

Display, housing and ports

The 16:10 display gives you more vertical space than a regular 15.6-inch screen. That is handy for a timeline in Premiere, a long quote or a construction drawing.

You choose between FHD+ (1920 x 1200) or UHD+ (3840 x 2400) with touch. The UHD+ touchscreen is very sharp for detailed work, while the FHD+ panel is easier on the battery.

The housing is aluminium with narrow bezels, so the device feels more compact than you would expect from such a powerful machine. You get three USB-C ports, two of them Thunderbolt 4, plus an SD card reader and a headphone jack.

Who is this laptop for?

If you work with CAD, 3D models, Lightroom or video editing, you notice the difference with a regular laptop right away. The A2000 is the better choice for heavy renders; for 2D drawing and photo editing the RTX A1000 is more than enough.
