The Dell Precision 7670 is a powerful laptop from 2022 for CAD, 3D, video and data analysis, with a 12th generation Intel Core i7 or i9 and an NVIDIA RTX A1000, A2000 or A3000. It suits a studio, an engineering student or someone working from home who wants to take desktop power along. At DSL-TECH you buy it with a 2-year warranty and 30 days to change your mind.
The Precision 7670 belongs to Dell's thicker, better-cooled Precision workstations. You notice it: the processor can run at high power for longer before it clocks down.
You do not need an engineering firm to get something out of it. A photographer with large RAW files, an architecture student using Revit or someone who edits video at home gets just as much out of this workstation.

Dell Precision 7670 specifications
Our range has an Intel Core i7-12850HX or an Intel Core i9-12950HX, both 12th generation Alder Lake HX with hybrid P-cores and E-cores. Memory is 32 GB or 64 GB (32GB or 64GB), and storage is an M.2 NVMe SSD of 512 GB or 1 TB (512GB or 1TB).
The 16:10 screen comes in FHD+ with 1920 x 1200 or UHD+ with 3840 x 2400 pixels. For monitors and a dock you have Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI, and the keyboard is comfortable to type on, even after a long working day.
Graphics card and performance
The NVIDIA RTX A1000 is enough for 2D CAD, Photoshop and light 3D models. The NVIDIA RTX A2000 is the happy medium, and you choose the A3000 for heavy renders, large assemblies or GPU-accelerated graphics software.
More RAM is not automatically better. With 32 GB you run most applications smoothly; 64 GB only pays off for simulations, point clouds or many virtual machines at once.
The Precision 7670 Mobile was one of Dell's first laptops with CAMM memory modules. That flat module sits in the chassis instead of two separate SO-DIMM sticks, which saves space and helps cooling.
Windows, drivers and support
Windows 11 Pro officially runs on these processors, so you keep support and security updates. On the support page at dell.com you can download the latest drivers, BIOS and firmware using your service tag.
All our refurbished laptops are tested on more than 30 points. Among other things we check the battery, screen, keyboard, ports and fans, so you can be sure the hardware is right before it leaves our door.

Yes. The 12th generation Intel Core HX and an NVIDIA RTX card are more than fast enough for CAD, 3D and video editing, and Windows 11 is officially supported.
Which graphics card do I need?
For 2D CAD and photo editing the RTX A1000 is enough. If you do a lot of 3D or rendering, choose the A2000 or A3000.
Is 32 GB of memory enough?
For most professional software, yes. Choose 64 GB if you work with large simulations, datasets or several virtual machines.
Is the Dell Precision 7670 suitable for gaming?
You can game on it just fine, although the RTX A cards are tuned for stable drivers in professional programs rather than for the highest frame rates.
